With promises of glowing skin and fewer breakouts, summer beauty has the reputation of being minimal, so it’s easy to forget the humid weather and the face-melting troubles that follow.

But do you remember how difficult it is to regularly reapply SPF over makeup while trying to manage frizz? Or what about the search for setting sprays and primers strong enough to counteract the extra oil and sweat. It’s difficult enough when you’re at home and the struggle becomes that much more real when you’re on vacation with limited space in your suitcase

Luckily, we learned a few lessons on our photo shoots in Hong Kong and Thailand. Running from location to location followed by long days on set, our routines had to stand up against long days and 95 per cent humidity.

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week.
