100+ Street Style Looks That Defined 2018

I hadn't seen biker shorts worn with such fervor since my family's '91 trip to Disney; sequins took the streets in broad daylight (fun fact: I spotted a girl waiting for the bus in a paliette-covered pencil skirt before 8 a.m.); white boots had become more ubiquitous than a pair of blue jeans. Beyond the runway, it's these trends that defined street style in 2018.

Sure, if you had told us two years ago that we'd be styling biker shorts with blazers, we'd likely have laughed it off and pulled on our mom jeans, thankyouverymuch - but this year's style stars convinced us to dive right in. Not just that, either. We added logo bags to the rotation, threw on our shoulder bags (crossbody style!), and added cowboy boots and animal prints to mix things up. This year gave us nostalgia reimagined with a contemporary lens; in a nutshell, there was enough new outfit inspiration to last 365 days and then some. So, you'll forgive us if we'll be wearing these looks well into 2019.

Katy Perry is making the press rounds ahead of the upcoming season of "American Idol." On March 28, the competition judge and singer was spotted leaving "Good Morning America" in casual, off-duty street style that turned heads. She wore distressed, low-rise R13 Denim jeans that sat at her hips, as well as a white baby tee under a cropped leather Balenciaga jacket .
