Cult Brand Brother Vellies is Finally Available in Canada

We’ve always had a bit of a girl crush on Aurora James.

Not only did the Toronto-bred designer dabble in horticulture and worked as a modelling agent before founding her unique sustainable-cum-exotic animal skins accessory line, Brother Vellies, she grounds her sky-high aspirational Instagram content with a heavy dose of down-to-earth realness.

Aurora’s initial goal with Brother Vellies was to introduce the world to her favourite traditional handcrafted footwear (as well as bring livelihoods to artisans in Kenya, Ethiopia and South Africa) and since then, we’d say she’s been doing a pretty good job. For the first time since the brand launched, Brother Vellies will be now available for purchase in Canada at Hudson’s Bay, where items are trickling into store locations throughout the month.

Currently, Hudson’s Bay is the only Canadian stockist, but here’s hoping more retailers hop on the Brother Vellies bandwagon soon.

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout.
