J. Lo Will Receive the 2019 CFDA Fashion Icon Award

It’s an honour bestowed upon only the greatest of the greats: Beyoncé, Rihanna Naomi Campbell and Pharell Williams. This year, Jennifer Lopez will receive the crowing honour of the CFDA’s Fashion Icon award at the 2019 CFDA Fashion Awards that will take place in June.

Both CFDA head honchos Steven Kolb and Diane Von Furstenberg had complimentary things to say about J. Lo’s sense of style. “Jennifer Lopez’s style is bold, uninhibited, and always memorable. Designers, including many of our CFDA Members, love to dress her for both stage and private moments,” said Kolb, who is the President and CEO of the CFDA, in a statement. Longtime CFDA chairwoman Von Furstenburg, who is relinquishing her title to Tom Ford later this year added, “Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power. Both designers and fans look forward to her fashion statements.”

Indeed! Considering the plunging green Versace dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy awards literally prompted the creation of Google Image search, we’d say that Fashion Icon is a pretty apt title.

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week.
