Fall Colors & Best of Beauty

Autumn colors and sharing my favorite beauty products and secrets today!  As we transition to fall, colors get deeper, scents moodier, and skincare regimes become more curated.

Rich purples, earthy browns, soothing latte colors – autumn is in the air!  In addition to fashion and style, one of the main seasonal celebrations for me is in the nose.  Scents.  I love a bright crisp scent for summer, and as the seasons change, slowly transitioning to a deeper scent as a mark of a new beginning.

This Gucci Bloom is a floral scent anchored by jasmine, tuberose, and rangoon creeper, which makes it a soft floral with a slight powdery finish (this one is perfect for fall/winter and the Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori in the green bottle is perfect for spring/summer because of it’s fresh floral notes).  A great fall signature scent is just the beginning.  Autumn hues continue with garnet nails and ruby lips.  And for skincare, I focus on creating deep hydration in the fall and winter, and on contouring all year round.

I’m much more committed to my facial massage routines now.  After my esthetician gave me a gua sha facial massage, I went on a hunt looking for gua sha tools!  And this hunt brought me to the Walmart beauty page.  I bought the Daily Concepts jade gua sha tool, and to this day, use it every night.  It helps by reducing puffiness (a huge issue for me), and increasing lymphatic drainage and blood flow.  The results are slimmer more contour features.

While picking up the gua sha tool, I also re-stocked on my SK-II Essence and R.N.A. Power Cream, Stila All Day waterproof liquid eyeliner, and NARS Jungle Red lip color.  I’ve been using the SK-II products for over 2 years now and love them!  While the essence is a hydrating lightweight liquid, the cream is super velvety and provides intense hydration (great for fall and winter!).  While re-stocking on these goods, guess what I saw?!  Magnetic eyelashes!

I’m a HUGE fan of magnetic eyelashes, because I developed a latex allergy a few years ago.  Sadly, most eyelash glue have latex in them and the latex-free ones still irritate my eyes.  Magnetic lashes are a little tricky to apply at the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it’s a breeze.  This LaFabs magnetic eyelash set makes the application process easier by including an applicator.  The trick is to keep the applicator open with the lash sets on, position the lower lash strip first to your eye, and then slowly clamp down so the top lash strip connects with the bottom (I’m wearing them in the pictures below =).

From discovering an autumn signature scent to playing with magnetic eyelashes, the Walmart beauty page has something special for everyone.  From premium brands to Walmart exclusives, it’s a fun place to shop for fall favorites and beyond.  Also, I really appreciate their lightning fast shipping (free 2-day shipping!).

I hope you enjoy the styling and beauty picks!  Thank you Walmart for partnering on this post.  As always, thank you so much for reading!

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
