I Tried the 5 Best-Selling Sweaters on Who What Wear—Here Are My Thoughts

There’s no question that sweater weather is officially upon us. Fortunately, there’s no lack of cozy knits on the market right now to keep us toasty as the temps start to drop, including basic minimal sweaters, those with vibrant colors as well as trending argyle and Fair Isle prints. If you’re looking to stock up on some new sweaters this season, then this one’s for you. I tapped into our commerce strategist to get some hard data on what sweater styles and brands have been selling like hotcakes on Who What Wear this season so far. Naturally, I had to test-drive them for myself! It's not surprising that minimalist staples such as turtlenecks and fitted crewneck sweaters were at the top of the list (classics that will go with everything), but there were also some cool polo styles and pretty hues that are sure to make any outfit pop. Scroll below as I share my insight on the best sellers and shop them for yourself.

I am surprised at just how soft this $60 sweater is. It feels lovely against the skin (absolutely no itchiness at all), its drapey sleeves add a unique touch, the bateau neckline looks stunning, and it has a slightly loose fit so is comfortable enough to wear all day and night. It does have a slightly cropped fit so I'd recommend wearing a high-waisted skirt or jeans.
I really love this preppy polo-style sweater. I'll be pairing it with jeans on the weekend and leather pants for a fashion-forward look at work. While it's pretty lightweight (not sufficient for freezing temps), it's easy to add a tissue-thin turtleneck underneath when it gets colder.
This is one of our best sellers from Amazon. It has a boxy, oversize fit that gives it a relaxed, casual vibe, but the mock neck adds an air of sophistication. The light gray hue is also super versatile. If you're looking for something super easy to throw on with jeans, this is perfect. I recommend sizing down if you want a more regular fit as this is designed to be oversize.
It's not always easy to find soft cashmere for under $100, but our readers have been absolutely loving this one from Nordstrom brand Halogen. It comes in six cool colors, but I'm particularly fond of the vibrant red one for holiday season.
Our readers can't get enough of classic basic sweaters, and this cashmere Nordstrom one has been a hit in the past few months. It's soft and cozy yet smart enough for work. It comes in 12 beautiful colors, but I particularly love the blue hues seen here and below.
You'll get so much wear out of this black basic.
This versatile straight fit sweater has been extremely popular this month.
This sweater exudes charm with its delicate stitching and a pretty lilac hue.
We're in love with the pearl button details.
Both the V-neck and crewneck versions of this fine-knit sweater are much-loved staples of our readers.
Cable knit sweaters are in demand now that the temps are getting cooler. This Something Navy cardigan comes in various colors, but we're particularly fond of the head-turning vibrant pink.
This boxy merino wool sweater will keep you nice and toasty through the winter months.
Wear with literally everything in your closet.
A dipped V-neck and shapely ribbing make this comfy cardigan super flattering.
Just look at those cute dinosaur buttons. Add to cart!

Up next, I tried 21 coats from Zara, H&M, and Bloomingdale's—these 11 made the cut.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
