Street Style Has Spoken: This Is Fashion's Next It Bag

If you can believe it, fashion month for S/S 20 is finally behind us. Now that New York, London, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks are all merely not-so-distant memories, it’s time to reflect on what we saw both on and off the runways over the past 30 or so days. Recently, my fellow editors broke down the bag trends that are sure to blow up next spring, the brands that were most prevalent among the street style set this season, the pant style everyone wore in Paris, the shoe trends that reigned supreme, as well as the top runway looks from all four cities. If that wasn’t enough, I can promise you there is more to come, starting with this very post.

After carefully scrutinizing all the street style snaps as they poured in from every city, it came to my attention that there’s a new It bag among the fashion set. Interestingly, it’s by a brand you might have heard of, but quite possibly not seeing as it only launched in 2017 (but has already become a favorite among fashion insiders, influencers, and even celebs). The brand I’m talking about is none other than Wandler, and the bag, called the Georgia, launched last month as a part of the F/W 19 collection. Before we get to the hard evidence (and by that I mean recent street style), I thought I’d share why I think the bag is on the way to fame.

It’s a classic, baguette shape; small, but not too small; sleek and structured; comes in a handful of materials and colors (all of which are neutral for now); comes with a long strap and short top handle for carrying options; and, as far as designer bags go, isn’t astronomically expensive with the various versions currently available ranging from $765 to $1060. Considering that the bag is timeless in design, if one can budget for it, the price is warranted by its investment-worthiness. Combine these things with the fact that I have a knack for identifying It bags, and you should have all the information you need to just trust me on this one.

So, see the bag in action below, and then, of course, stick around to shop it while you can, as I have a pretty good feeling it will be selling out soon.

Bettina Looney's brown bag is the perfect seasonless color to take her well into the New Year.
Just the pop of animal print we all need.
If you love wearing prints and colors, the easy-to-match black bag just might be the way to go.
Of course, it looks just as good with neutrals, too.
When you don't have to decide between the It bag and It shoes…
The simple style is the perfect complement to Blanca Miró's statement 'fit.
Moda Operandi's Fashion and Buying Director Lisa Aiken is on to something with the matching animal-print shoes.
Who said black and brown (or black and blue, for that matter) don't match?
Net-a-Porter Global Buying Director Elizabeth von der Goltz knows an It bag when she sees it, and we spotted her with this bag more than once throughout the month.
This classic outfit is all I want to wear for the coming season.
Taking notes on this chic brown-and-gold combo.
Insider Linda Tol's bag doesn't seem to be available to buy yet, but we're waiting patiently.
So nice she wore it twice.
Fun fact: This bag was actually named after stylist Georgia Tal, seen wearing it in black above.
Closing out the street style section with this luxe leather inspo.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
