I'm a Picky Shopper, and This Is What I'd Buy From Nordstrom for Winter

Anyone who has ever attempted to go shopping with me knows how (annoyingly) picky I can be when it comes to buying anything for myself. In fact, I can spend hours in stores and online without finding a single thing I actually want to purchase, whether it’s for an occasion, a new season, or just because. While this trait definitely has its downsides—you don’t want to know how long it took me to find a wedding dress—it also has its benefits.

For starters, I take these stories I write for you, our readers, very seriously as a result. When going through products to include in roundups, I ask myself first if I would spend my own money on something before suggesting it to someone else to buy. Hopefully, this shows (and you like what you’re about to see below). Since we’re on the heels of winter, I decided to comb through one of everyone’s favorite sites and round up the items I would buy for myself if I were in the market for outerwear, dresses, accessories, shoes, and more. Shockingly, I somehow ended up with a whopping 47 finds, all of which I am somehow pretty obsessed with. To see and shop my Nordstrom picks for the season ahead, just keep scrolling.

Classic with a twist.
Puffers are an inevitable part of NYC life, but thankfully, brands are making them more stylish than ever this season.
Warm and cool at the same time.
Leather trenches are one of the season's biggest outerwear trends.
Anything is better with a built-in belt.
Who could resist?
Tackle two trends in one with this houndstooth cape.
Perfection.
That simple sweater you want to wear every day once it's cold.
This color is too good to pass up.
A subtle take on animal print.
Anything from Khaite is the ultimate goal this season.
I'm taking notes on how cute this looks with a miniskirt.
As I write this, our editor Lauren is sitting next to me wearing this shirt, so I mean it when I say it's good.
Sweater meets going-out top.
A layering wonder.
Basic but not boring.
Hello, holiday parties.
Nothing gives you that perfectly tucked-in look quite like a bodysuit.
Aren't Henleys just the best?
Lingerie-inspired details will never go out of style.
Who can resist this color?
Winter weddings, here I come.
Chic.
I'm all about utility-inspired details right now.
Everyone needs a pair of these.
I love the Western touch on these.
It's hard to find skirts that look this good with boots.
I love this relaxed fit.
The whole shoulder-bag thing is still going strong.
You'll never want to take this off.
I love the fabric and leather combo here.
Timeless.
New work tote, anyone?
For all your outerwear.
Bags with black hardware are the most versatile, if you ask me.
Why shouldn't your bra be as on trend as your outfit?
I love everything about this.
These were my best friends last winter.
I have these in black, and they're one of the comfiest pairs of shoes I own, period.
White boots are risky but totally worth it.
People are always asking me for help finding actually cute waterproof boots, and these are the perfect example.
Even I am not immune to the appeal of cute and cozy house slippers.
Knee-high boots are trending harder than you can even imagine right now.
If I only buy one item in this roundup, it might be these.
I definitely do not need these, but that doesn't mean I don't want them.
I can just imagine how good these will look with straight-leg jeans.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
