I Have Oily Skin & These Are Skin Products I Always Use

Though it took me a while to start appreciating my skin type, as I got older, I really started seeing the benefits of oilier skin. Fever wrinkles, thicker & smoother skin that actually requires fewer skin-care products, once you figure out how to find that balance between too much oil and the right amount of moisture. I tried a lot of different products, philosophies and approaches, and now I can honestly say that when it comes to oily skin, diligence, routine and gentle approach is the way to go.

I tried oily skin cleansers and noticed that harsh/deep cleansers seem to make my skin oilier overtime (makes sense since skin tends to produce more oil when it gets dry), so now I opt for gentle cleanser such as Rose Gold Foaming Cleanser by Bliss. Masking is a must! I actually use a mask every night (since I wear foundation everyday, I want to make sure my skin is really clean before I go to bed). Currently I’m using the Photos Please Brightening Mask by Versed. Love it because it’s a clay-based mask, so it gets my skin really clean yet my skin never feels dry or tight after. Toner is another must when it comes to oily skin! Love the Rose Gold Rescue Mist because it is both calming and nourishing, so it helps to soothe the skin and prep it for the next step. Exfoliation is one of the most important steps in oily skin-care routine. Oily skin tends to have a build-up of dead skin and exfoliation is best way to remove it to prevent clogged pores. I tried a lot of different exfoliants and once again, gentle is the way to go. A harsh exfoliant can trigger an increased oil production which is the exact opposite of what you actually want, so I find that gentle retinol serums tend to work best. The one I am using right now is Press Restart Gentle Retinol Serum and the reason why I am definitely sticking to this one long-term is because it’s non-irritating (my skin never gets red or starts flaking or peeling) yet it gets the job done.

Specialized Treatments: When breakouts happen, and unfortunately they do, I haven’t  found anything that works better than EradiKate Acne Treatment. I usually use it as a spot treatment overnight and wake up to a noticeable difference! Another downside of breakouts: they can leave unsightly dark marks on your skin. One of the best ways I found to deal with this problem is using a stronger retinol serum as a spot treatment. Currently using Retinol 1.0 and loving every minute of it! Last but certainly not least are anti-aging products. Most of them are very heavy and make me break out, which is why I was so happy when I found RoC Deep Wrinkle Night Cream and Deep Wrinkle Serum. Love them because they make my skin look smoother and brighter yet feel lightweight and absorb fast!

Moisturizers are also an important step in oily skin-care routine. The trick is to find ones that are light-weight, oil-free and won’t clog pores. Moisturizing Gel-Cream by Versed is what I use on daily basis and switch to a Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream when my skin is irritated because this one is particularly calming. Speaking of irritation and redness, I tried a lot of redness treatments and the one that works really well for me is Pineapple-C Brightening Serum. Normally I apply it overnight and wake up to a much calmer, less red, smoother and brighter looking skin. Love that!

I also started using Matte Skin by Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream and I absolutely love it. I use Long Time No Shine Loose Setting Powder on top and I can really see the difference. Finally, I suggest cleaning your brushes regularly and replacing them every 3 months!

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
