H&M Is Currently a Goldmine of Spring 2020 Trends—Here's What to Buy

Maybe it's a testament to my willpower, but when it comes to shopping, I like to do it on a once-a-season basis. Limiting myself is the surest trick I've found for preventing any overspending or falling victim to the pitfall of buying into too many trends. And lucky for my shopping itch, a new season is finally on its way in.

Like any millennial on a budget, one of my first stops is always H&M. The only thing better than its easy return policy is its consistent array of trend-forward collections. From the shackets I've been seeing all of my Instagram feed to fun takes on this season's top shoe trends, it's a one-stop-shop for stocking up on everything my spring 2020 wardrobe is in need of. To help you navigate H&M's goldmine of a new arrivals section, I'm taking you with me on my latest shopping spree…

Sure, this might be my 30th oversize-blazer purchase, but who's counting?
I've been on the lookout for the perfect pair of leather pants. I think I've finally found them.
Anyone else notice how strong H&M's bag game is of late?
One peek at Instagram will show how all the cool girls are wearing high-waisted, straight-leg jeans like this. It's about time I get a pair of my own.
Run—don't walk—to get these too-good-to-be-true tall boots for only $70.
I am so ready for the return of the babydoll dress this spring.
In case you missed it, I'm obsessed with leather outerwear this season.
Describes exactly how I felt when I first laid eyes on these earrings.
Okay, I spoke too soon. These might be the leather pants I need.
My first foray into injecting some color into my spring wardrobe.
This spring's cardigans are getting so playful with their button options.
If I could add rhinestone hearts to all of my shoes, I absolutely would.
The shacket is one of my favorite emerging trends. I'll be diving headfirst into it this season with this oversize leather iteration.
A pair of tapered jeans, relaxed blazer, and chunky sneakers make up my new go-to uniform.
I'm taking notes from this cool styling and pairing this dress with some pastel sneakers.
This banana hue is so spring and so cute.
Love a belt bag? Here you go.
Wear this over pants for a cool look.
Everything's coming up daisies.
The dreamiest color palette.
Any pants that can double as lounge pants get a yes in my book.
Just look at that pearl closure detailing!
File this under "dresses that look good on everyone."
Give me all the shackets.
The booties I'll be living in all spring long.

Up next, this is spring's most controversial trend (by far).

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
