I Wasn't Ready for the Glamour (and Navarro Cheering) at Brandon Maxwell's Fall 2020 Runway Show

Impeccably cut gowns, elevated daywear, and sleek accessories are hallmarks of a Brandon Maxwell runway show. Two Navarro cheerleaders - Gabi Butler and Lexi Brumback - cheering on every single model (including Bella Hadid) and look was atypical, though, in line with upbeat feel of the Fall Winter 2020 collection ("you're gorgeous!", "you're glowing!", and "yes suede pants!" were just a few excitable remarks shouted by the front-row cheerleaders with ovations.

Set in the American History Museum, refined blazers, jeans, and knits appeared sharp as ever while tailored evening separates and impeccably cut gowns destined for the red carpet proved ultra-glamorous from ethereal sheer fabrics to sheeny silk. Exquisite leather jackets and pants, slouchy beanies, and Western-inspired boots were unexpected additions to the elegant lineup as was the use of tortoiseshell, seen throughout the collection in the form of small-scale bags (styled crossbody), statement earrings, and lustrous apparel like a quilted puffer coat, mini shirtdress, and fluid midi.

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week.
