First Looks Friday: The Most Exciting Beauty Products to Hit Our Desks This Week

Welcome to First Looks Friday, a new weekly beauty series that will highlight the newest, coolest, must-see products that hit our desks this week. Even though we do our best to include and post about the latest and greatest in the world of beauty, we're flooded with so many cool formulas that we're physically unable to feature every single one within our scheduled lineup of stories. But now, we can change that! Consider this your one-stop-shop weekly beauty debriefing of everything cool happening in the product industry. Though we haven't tested these products long-term, you'll get a quick description of the labels that caught our eye and the formulas we can't wait to stow in our bags and take home with us. Keep scrolling for this week's beauty haul.

It's like the K-beauty geniuses at CosRx somehow knew I had the worst PMS-induced breakout this week. The brand sent us a host of its best-selling skin goodies (including the cult-loved snail mucin line which even celebrity facialists get behind), but we're most excited about these handy pimple-busting patches. Each patch features a hydrocolloid dressing that absorbs oil while simultaneously extracting impurities and protecting the affected area from further.

Newly reformulated, Koh Gen Do's anti-aging, ceramide-rich gel is an exciting new addition to your springtime dewy skincare kit. Not to mention it's enriched with the brand's signature SPA Blend Water, and three different types of hyaluronic acid. Dare we say it's better than Augustinus Bader?

In very exciting news, iconic designer Monique Lhuillier has officially stepped into the beauty sphere by launching one of the loveliest new scents of the season thus far. Her first fragrance is stunning (are you surprised?) with notes of Sicilian bergamot, cassis, freesia, and lacewood complementing the equally elegant bottle.

Prepare yourself because this  might be the most exciting launch of the year thus far. Tatcha's OG The Silk Canvas Protective Primer ($52) is one of the brand's most beloved products. (It makes your skin and makeup look like glass.) But in all honesty, it can make those of us who are oily or acne-prone look greasy. Now, the brand has officially launched a lightweight oil-free iteration every beauty editor is clamoring to get their hands on.

People go wild for Viktor&Rolf's iconic Flowerbomb scent, and the brand consistently debuts ingenious fresh takes on the original formula. Dew is the latest fresh blend to hit our desks. Just in time for spring, it's a lovely confection dripping with bergamot, rose accord, iris, and musk.

We're all about catching the glow this season, which is why we're so dang excited about HoliFrog's fresh-off-the-presses launch. Bursting with the most effective brightening and exfoliating agents in the biz, its MVP ingredients include luxe poppy seeds, bamboo stem powder, black currant seed oil, vitamin C, and astaxanthin, which is one of the most potent antioxidants you can use in your skincare! (It's 550 times more potent than vitamin E.)

Say hello to your newest SPF obsession. Cōtz makes some of the most highly rated sun protection formulas, and it's just launched a new game-changing formula. It's SPF 45, non-tinted, all-mineral, easy to blend and spread, and water-resistant so you're set no matter how much sun, sweat, or water exposure you'll have this spring and summer.

Tarte is known for its hero ingredient, maracuja oil, and the brand just released a slew of new products infused with the magical ingredient. In addition to an exciting new skin tint and a juicy lip gloss, we're intrigued with this superfruit-charged setting mist which locks in hydration and makeup for a full 12 hours while leaving behind a dewy, radiant glow.

We love a good eye mask, and we can't wait to try these new patches from hot-spot massage boutique The Now. They're specifically formulated to be ultra-hydrating and feature luxe natural ingredients like algae, vitamin B, shea oil, amino acids, and antioxidants.

This spring's onslaught of fresh fragrance selections has been impressive. Normally, I'm insanely picky, but I've been loving every scent that seems to cross my desk. That said, this new launch from Acqua di Parma is one to truly behold. The first day I sprayed it in the office it caused actual chaos. (In the best, compliment- and question-heavy way possible.) It's a floral citrusy number enriched with notes of bergamot, yellow mandarin, pink pepper, sakura, jasmine sambac, and musk.

We're always up for a new way to stay fresh (especially when the temperatures start to heat up), and these dermatologist-developed pads from Surface Deep have officially piqued our interest. Each set features 30 biodegradable cleansing pads powered by a potent blend of fruit-based glycolic acid and antimicrobial peptides. The effect? The prevention of odor-causing bacteria, a balanced skin-microbiome, and a natural and easy-to-use way to keep underarm odor at bay.

In more exciting eyecare news, Merle Norman just sent us some of its newest launches. We (literally) have our eye on this Skintelligent Eye Moisturizer which utilizes key probiotics and peptides to brighten shadows, perk up the puff, and soothe all around.

We don't know about you, but our skin could use a little extra TLC right about now. Luckily, Youth to the People mailed us its award-winning superberry mask, which has us more than covered. We can't wait to slather our face with the yellow-hued blend of maqui (the most antioxidant-rich fruit in the world!), vitamin C, and squalane.

Côte makes some of our favorite nontoxic nail colors, and its two new spring additions could be two of its best yet. No. 56 is a smooth, buttery yellow (no Crayola tones here!), and No. 61 is minty-cool magic.

This fantasy-inspired fragrance from Ex Nihilo is delicious, addicting, and will win you scores of "what are you wearing?" questions. It's made in France and incredibly unique thanks to the vibrant combination of pink pepper, peony, lily of the valley, vanilla, amber, and sandalwood. We haven't come across a perfume this exquisitely special in a long, long time.

Julep just gave us a super-fast fix for tired, lackluster skin. If you're looking to save some money and stan a good sheet mask, look to this sleek, three-step system which smooths, resurfaces, and delivers a dewy, luminous finish. Step one is an Essence Gel infused with rosa centifolia that helps condition and prep skin. Step two is an all-natural sheet mask with vitamin C and retinol. Step three is a luxe sleeping pack with ceramides.

This three-piece set is a great antidote if your skin has been feeling parched or if you're looking to address signs of aging fine lines, wrinkles, or uneven skin texture. You'll get a technologically advanced lightweight moisturizer, an eye cream, and a travel-size purifying face cleanser spiked with refreshing grapefruit.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
