Giambattista Valli is no stranger to feminine touches, so we weren't the least bit surprised to see the designer buy into this trend.

Opting for a more mature take for Givenchy, Clare Waight Keller utilized feathers to adorn part of her eveningwear section. 

Feathers were just one of the major trends we spotted on Marine Serre's runway, which also included velvet, gloves, and big necklaces. 

Gloves were spotted not only during Paris fashion week, but also throughout New York, London, and Milan. Reaching opulent opera lengths, this elegant accessory proved to be more versatile than we imagined—accompanying everything from the more expected formalwear to casual suiting and back again.

Givenchy displayed a perfect example of how to style this trend in your everyday life. The unexpected addition of gloves to more contemporary attire is just the fresh spin fall 2020 needs.

At Valentino, even the formalwear got a contemporary update via the contrast of frilly organza dresses, heavier leather gloves, and boots.

Ready or not, high-shine, in-your-face latex is one of the biggest things to come out of Paris. From the many skintight options we saw at Balmain and Saint Laurent to Balenciaga's even more out-there take, expect the liquidy, leather-like material to be a big part of the fall 2020 fashion scene.

Statement necklaces have felt obsolete for a long time, but according to the F/W 20 runways, they are officially back. Quite the assortment of heavy choker statement necklaces graced the collars of models wearing everything from dresses to coats. If you take one thing away from this jewelry trend, it's that come fall, your neck should be flexing (hard).

This striking drop-choker spotted at Alexander McQueen took heavy metals to another level entirely. Suddenly, mixing heavy metals with more delicate counterparts doesn't feel so daunting. 

The statement necklace styled over a flipped collar is something we spotted not only here at Mugler, but also at Proenza Schouler. In other words, keep a close eye on this forward styling trick. 

Off-White incorporated these heavy statement necklaces all over the runway, but Yolanda Hadid's look naturally stood out amongst the rest. 

While velvet is always a viable choice in the colder seasons of fall and winter, every once in awhile, it becomes less of an option and more of a must-have material. Thanks to a slew of designers, it’s looking like that will definitely be the case in about six months' time.
