25 Items I'm Buying to Look Better on Video Conference Calls
Most Wantedis a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 25 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.
As you know, the days of crowding around a conference room table or sitting across from friends and family at a restaurant are on pause for now, and in the meantime, video has replaced in-person connections. I find that it's not easy to look great on a tiny computer camera, so I'm doing everything I can to look a little better (with minimal effort, of course).
While I have no intention of wearing real shoes, pants that aren't stretchy, or red lipstick for these calls, I'm eager to add some fashion and beauty items to my life that will make me look more "videogenic". Keep scrolling to shop them along with me for your future Zoom (or whatever your video medium of choice may be) happy hours, work meetings, birthday celebrations, and so on.
I'm not in the market for any wild statement earrings, but a simple, chic pair that's noticeable on screen is on my shopping list.An oversized blazer is still comfortable but it's a nice, polished step up from sweats.White tees are a fail-safe thing to wear in video calls, so I think now is the time to replace some of my old ones.I know you can't see these on a video call but they'd make me happy while on the call, which is something you can see.A good reminder to your friends that you're still fun and stylish. For looking cute while protecting your eyes from the glaring computer screen.I don't know about you but I'm fully leaning into pretty scrunchies these days. The pretty color, fun sleeves, and flattering cropped fit are calling my name. (And there's no time like the present to wear a cheerful color.)While I love the big chain necklace trend, I think something a little more subtle is a better option for an at-home video call.Just imagine the video compliments you'll get on this baseball cap. They can't see your entire outfit so you might as well make your look all about the collar.I'd love to upgrade my ear party (i.e. my secondary piercings) with some new studs like this beauty.Sweats this chic are even appropriate for a video chat with your boss. This is my go-to serum. Whenever I put it on, my skin is instantly brighter, which is great because dull skin and a less-than-clear video picture aren't the best match.I'm obsessed with this new sunscreen. It gives the prettiest glow that lasts all day. And yes, you should definitely still wear sunscreen when indoors.I don't wear a lot of makeup when I'm working or lounging at home but this pretty palette is so easy to apply and the sparkle looks amazing over video.Even during this time of being stuck at home, I still don't get enough sleep. Luckily, these drops whiten my eyes instantly.I don't love a very obvious highlight so this Chanel one is a dream come true. It looks like your skin but better.I don't know about you, but my hands have been looking pretty rough lately. This hardcore cream transforms them overnight.I'm really starting to miss my frequent gel manicures so I think it's time to take the plunge and invest in the tools to do them myself. (And who doesn't talk with their hands, even on a video call?)To keep shine at bay, a sheer pressed powder does the trick. This one looks so natural on.Curling my eyelashes makes me look instantly awake. This curler receives rave reviews so I'm anxious to try it myself, as my current one is worn out.I don't love the look of full-on lipstick or shiny gloss on a video call. A tinted balm is much more my speed. Thanks to my aforementioned lack of sleep, dark circles are a constant in my life, but I'm confident that this popular cream is the solution. My face isn't seeing too much of the sun these days, so a swipe of bronzer is making up for that.
If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
