7 Trendy Jean Outfits Using Items Already in Your Closet

You might already have a go-to denim uniform. For me, it’s a pair of black skinny jeans, a moto jacket, tee, and boots. Well, if you’re looking to try something new for your WFH life or to note for a future outfit down the road, I’m here with the inspo. But here’s the thing: I’m not going to focus on those especially high-concept looks that seem daunting to put together. I’m making it easy by showcasing some of the trendiest jean outfits that can be created using basic items you probably already have in your closet.

I combed through saved photos on my IG to uncover the simple yet chic denim ensembles that could be worth a try. Now, I mentioned that these could most likely be created with your existing wardrobe, but if you are shopping right now, I also shopped out each outfit. All right, enough chatting. Your new go-to denim look awaits.

Have a favorite cardigan? Wear it as a blouse buttoned all the way up with your favorite jeans. While any shoe style would pair well with this simple outfit, a pair of patterned sandals works for the season.
Tie together the ends of a slouchy white shirt and billow it open to reveal a bra top or cami with your favorite light-wash jeans. Chill and cool.
Embrace the denim-on-denim look with a combo of a denim jacket and coordinating blue jeans. Bonus points if you try the jacket like a shirt buttoned up. Oh, and don't be afraid of pairing trendy white socks with loafers.
Keep it chic yet easy for that next Zoom meeting with a blazer and a white blouse (the collar over the lapel feels very right now) tucked into loose jeans.
While a hoodie and jeans are cool on their own, layering a mock-neck top underneath the sweatshirt and tossing on a blazer adds easy sophistication to the vibe. Multi-chain necklaces also complete the look.
Take a sweater and jeans to the next level by tucking the knit into the jeans for an unexpected yet very-right-now silhouette.
Using your white blouse and jeans as the base, try a layered look with a blazer and trench. The finishing touch here is a silk scarf tied around the neck

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
