I’m a Fashion Editor From England—These Are the 3 Raincoats I Swear By

Shop With WWW, our annual two-day shopping event, is here! Between now and 11:59 p.m. PT on October 22, you get to shop with exclusive discounts from our favorite brands and retailers. Be sure to visit our event page to browse all the incredible deals on offer. Happy shopping!

I’m British, which means I know a thing or two about the rain. In fact, I grew up in two very wet regions of the U.K. (North Wales and the North East of England), so you’d be right in thinking my year-round uniform always included some sort of rain protection—predominantly a handful of practical and reliable raincoats.

Even though I live in (very dry!) L.A. now, I still visit England often, and I’m still very faithful to a small selection of cool and practical raincoats that not only protect from the elements but that also look chic.

So since we’re officially immersed in crisp and cool fall and headed into rainy winter, now is the perfect time to invest in one. Read on as I share my favorite waterproof raincoats and shop the coats I have my eye on this season.

I've always been a loyal fan of Barbour's classic waxed jackets. (I grew up in the city where the brand was founded, so I got to frequent its outlet way too often.) Its selection of water-resistant, waterproof, and breathable jackets add a countryside-cool touch to every ensemble. Oh, and Kate Middleton is a huge fan.
This also comes with a quilted lining to keep you warm and cozy.
You can't go wrong with Barbour's classic.
I just love its collab with Alexa Chung.

You may know Hunter for its trusty waterproof wellies, but the brand also outdoes itself when it comes to its practical raincoats. The rubberized fabric of the waterproof cotton smock jacket repels water in the heaviest of downpours, and its design is perfect for the city or countryside alike.
Wear this loose or cinched at the waist with its drawstring.
The original cotton smock is a fashion-girl favorite.
A versatile option to throw over sweaters and tees.
The semi-sheer fabric gives it a cool look.
Danish outerwear brand Rains is the king of wet-weather fashion—and my savior through downpours! Its raincoats strike the perfect balance between highly functional and fashionable design. Its minimalist silhouettes and nifty features are timeless, so it's no surprise the brand has grown such a loyal following among the fashion set.
I particularly love the matte finish. This product is part of our Shop With WWW event! Make sure to enter the code AFFIRMWWW at checkout to receive the discount.
Such a pretty hue. This product is part of our Shop With WWW event! Make sure to enter the code AFFIRMWWW at checkout to receive the discount.
The handy flap pockets are perfect for stowing your phone and keys.

Another Scandi raincoat brand to have on your radar is Stutterheim. This iconic coat is made from rubberized cotton and has undergone severe-climate testing!  This product is part of our Shop With WWW event! Make sure to enter the code AFFIRMWWW at checkout to receive the discount.
The North Face is another one of my favorite brands when it comes to durable raincoats that shield from wind and rain.
I love the fact it's made of 100% recycled fabric derived from plastic water bottles.
Moncler makes some of the most stellar raincoats. This product is part of our Shop With WWW event! Make sure to enter the code AFFIRMWWW at checkout to receive the discount.
Layer over your favorite cable-knit sweater.
Details like a sturdy hood, adjustable cuffs, a drawstring waist, and double-entry pockets make it super functional during any storm.
A classic rain mac you'll reach for time and again.
Made from lustrous PVC and with a shearling-lined hood and a detachable down-padded gilet, this is guaranteed to be a very smart investment.
Made for light showers, this striking silhouette will look chic over every ensemble.
The ultimate vintage-meets-technical durable hooded raincoat.
You certainly can't go wrong with a classic Burberry trench raincoat. This product is part of our Shop With WWW event! Make sure to enter the code AFFIRMWWW at checkout to receive the discount.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
