We Have a Thing for Boots—Here's How We're Styling Our Favorite Pairs This Fall

All the Ways to Wear is a monthly series where we round up the personal twists the Who What Wear team is putting on one particular item, style, or trend. Whether it's the trending denim of the moment or the season's It print, we hope to inspire your daily outfits and increase the value on some of our favorite items.

I've gotten used to working from home—I really have. My bedroom-office situation is all set up, the coffee shop next to my apartment officially knows my order, and I think I've finally adjusted to virtual meetings. But there's one thing I just can't quite get used to, and it's not seeing my co-workers IRL. I not only used to be surrounded by some really amazing people but some really amazing outfits, too.

Last year, I remember being in awe of the fall looks that came from our team, especially when they involved boots. So I knew I had to hit up some of my co-workers for fresh styling ideas the moment I found some extremely cute pairs on Dolce Vita. When it comes to affordable, on-trend shoes, the brand is an actual goldmine. Naturally, the images they sent me exceeded my expectations. Keep scrolling for five outfits that are ready to be copied.

I'm a sucker for a good midi dress during the Q (it's pretty much like a nightgown), so I was instantly drawn to this easy, breezy take. I love how these cool combat boots add the perfect amount of edge to an otherwise feminine look. And now that Michaela is officially L.A.-based again, I'll definitely be coming over to steal them. Don't say I didn't warn you, M.

Whenever I'm looking for a way to elevate a piece, I can always count on Jasmine to show me the way. She's constantly serving looks on her IG and introducing ways I never would have thought to wear things. So when I asked her to send me an idea for a more dressed-up winter outfit, was I surprised when she sent me this fun colorful skirt and white bootie combo? Zero percent. Plus, you can ask any editor, and they'll tell you croc-embossed leather makes everything 10 times chicer.

There wasn't a day I'd pass Cassandra in the hallway at the office and not comment on how cute her outfit was. I'm particularly digging the bootie-meets-mules style she chose to pair with her leather Bermuda shorts and sweater. Fall days in L.A. aren’t always cold, so I like this option of a breathable pair of slip-ons, and let's just take a moment to acknowledge that cow print is having a moment.

Mollie's look is basically everything you could want on a typical WFH day: It's casual, chic, and comfortable. Right now, she's dressing down her all-black booties with some easy jeans and a graphic tee, but that's not to say she didn't send me an option that included a minidress and blazer. Just saying.

And last, but not least, me. Like Cass, I decided that this calf print deserved its own moment, and styled the pair with simple jeans and a chunky sweater so they could really stand out. They hit at the perfect spot on my ankle (which is hard to come by, tbh), are uber comfortable, and have already earned me tons of compliments.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
