These 11 Chic and Affordable Winter Outfit Ideas Simply Can't Be Beat

I don't know who needs to hear this but you don't have to spend a fortune to have amazing style. In fact, some of the pieces I wear and get compliments on the most are under $50 or less. Now as a fashion editor, I am privy to all of the latest and greatest styles available, so I'll let you in on a little secret: Scoop.

This brand, sold exclusively at Walmart both online and in select stores, is where I find my favorite on-trend and affordable pieces. I've been patiently waiting for the holiday collection to drop for weeks and now that it's officially live, I'm seeing so many chic women wearing its dresses, sweaters, tees, and more. You know what that means? Tons and tons of outfit ideas are already available. I've narrowed down some of my favorite looks so far to provide a little styling inspiration. And trust me—you'll want to copy all 11 of them immediately.

A wrap top, like the chic leopard-print one pictured here, is one of my all-time favorite styles when I want to look pulled together. The wide-leg denim makes this outfit look even more polished.
Proof that a statement accessory can go a long way for upgrading a simple sweater look. Although, this on-trend balloon-sleeve sweater is pretty good on its own, don't you think?
A slip dress can be styled so many ways, but with a structured blazer, it feels perfect for a date night or intimate holiday gathering. Zoom parties count, too!
An icy pastel knit always feels refreshing in cooler months. I love the unexpected styling here with the edgier knee-high boots.
Am I making my point about slip dresses and blazers yet? Okay, good.
A sweater dress gets a fancy upgrade when a statement belt is involved. This look gets an A+ from me.
Another holiday-friendly look is this fun sequin midi skirt. I love the way it's dressed up a bit with the strappy sandals and down a bit with the graphic band tee.
Regardless of the season, skinny jeans and a T-shirt is always a winning outfit combo. This particular one gets a bit elevated thanks to those heeled booties and mock-croc handbag.
The flowy midi skirt, oversize sweater, and bootie outfit combo is always on rotation for me during the cooler months. Swap the shoes for sneakers and you'll have yourself a surprisingly comfortable outfit, too.
Here's another cool band tee in the collection that I've already purchased. The styling here reminds me not to be afraid of pairing a graphic T-shirt with a printed bottom. The juxtaposition actually feels quite modern.
Faux-leather leggings are the comfy essential everyone needs, especially this year while we're all spending much more time indoors. When you do venture outside, those hiker boots will definitely come in handy.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
