Unsurprisingly, I’m Living in Sweaters—These Are the 7 Trending Styles I Rotate
The switch from cotton tees to cozy knits is one of my favorites. We may have had a late autumn start here in L.A. but with fall now in full swing (and winter fast-approaching), it comes as no surprise that I'm luxuriating in soft and sumptuous sweaters daily. Hygge season is officially open!
While my classic, timeless knits (think basic crew necks, V-necks, and turtlenecks) are racking up a lot of mileage on my sweater odometer, I've also been leaning into some of the fresh and modern knit trends we're seeing all over our feeds and at our favorite retailers right now. From pretty collars to cool cutouts, take a peek below at the trending sweater styles I'm rotating in my weekly fall wardrobe.
The fall/winter runways were filled with chic and unique cutout knits. Whether it's an open back or bare shoulders, the modern silhouettes will add a fresh touch to your fall look.Pretty, vintage-inspired collars continue their sartorial reign. For fall and winter, we're seeing them on chic knit sweaters and cardigans whether as a cute attachment or as part of the knitted sweater. My obsession with sweater vests grows deeper every day. The grandma trend is dominating our feeds right now and fashion girls can't seem to get enough. Style a slightly oversize one over a blouse, shirt, or tissue-thin turtleneck this season. It's amazing how the addition of a collar can give your look a fresh, new feel. Polo-style sweaters are everywhere this season and are one of the easiest trends to pull off. Style with everything from sweats to jeans.Whether it's a cardigan, bra, and shorts trio, or a sweater and skirt set, matchy-matchy sweater sets are one of the biggest loungewear trends to cozy up in this season. They look seriously luxe too.Shop matching Embroidered Flower Top ($40)Shop matching Cropped Knit Top ($20) and Knit Shorts ($30). When I want to feel fashion-forward and confident, I opt for a sweater with power shoulders. Many of this season's must-have sweaters feature shoulder pads that sit just off the shoulder, creating a cool retro look.Fellow editor Anna Laplaca loves this trend so much she wrote a whole story on it. She's not the only one that's hooked. Much like an open-front shrug, the idea is that the sweater is mostly just the sleeves layered over a tank top or matching sweater. It's a refreshingly cool addition to my autumn wardrobe right now.
If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
