Fashion Girls Agree: These 11 Hair Accessories Are on the Verge of Internet Fame

As we enter the New Year, there's a renewed energy in the air. It's refreshing in many ways, including its jump-start on our fashion and beauty choices. And no matter what's going on outside, there's one category that always feels necessary to update: hair accessories.

Now that you've edited your closet and made the appropriate nips and tucks to suit the new normal of 2021, it's time to do the same with the hair accessories that will lend a hand in bringing those looks to life—even if only for Zoom calls. From ultra-embellished headbands to a daintier take on a classic '90s trend, these are the pieces fashion girls already can't stop wearing. Keep scrolling to check out the new crop of hair accessories you'll want to add to your collection in 2021.

Oversize scrunchies have been trending for a while, but it's the cloud-like organza ones that are taking center stage in the New Year. We love the ultra-sheer ones that are all but transparent, but shinier varieties that are a tad more opaque are also topping the list of must-haves this year.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but faux fur isn't reserved for winter anymore, especially when it comes to one of the coolest, most '90s-inspired accessories on the scene—furry bucket hats. This one needs little to no explanation because, well, just look at what an impact this kind of cap can have on an outfit.
Gone are the days of keeping wide headbands on deck just for athletic activities and facials. Fashion girls have officially promoted the accessory to ensemble component, and we're not mad about it.
Thelma and Louise would be proud to see this trend popping back up. Though the old-school gals used soft scarves to protect their hair while riding top-down on the highway, it looks like the fashion girlies have co-opted the look for purely sartorial purposes. It's cute, too.
It seems like every year some sort of beaded hair accessory makes its way into the running for most popular, and this year, it's beaded headbands. We love the intricate animal-print detailing, but other themes like the cosmos and rainbow hues are just as cool.
From Solange Knowles to Megan Thee Stallion, the girls have been bringing cowgirl chic to the forefront for some time now. We've seen similar hats in the past, but these particular wide-brimmed versions are decidedly Western. Yeehaw.
There's nothing like a good headband to really bring an outfit together, and braided ones are so chic. They're soft and elegant and are the perfect addition, regardless of hair type. We're into these in a major way.
The year 1997 called, and she wants her most beloved hair accessory back. But unfortunately, we're currently in a torrid entanglement with these teeny-tiny jaw clips that can be arranged at the base of front twists à la Topanga Lawrence or strewn throughout the hair with reckless abandon.
The clips just keep getting bigger, don't they? This year, they're supersize and adorned with pretty embellishments like rhinestones and pearls.
Claw clips have been bubbling since the 2018 runway shows, but the quintessentially '90s trend has been distilled into a more refined look to fit 2021. Nowadays, you can expect to see more dainty takes on claw clips with delicate details and in pretty golden finishes.
Clips will never not be in style, but the volume at which we wear them seems to change with the wind. This year, it looks like we're wearing all of the clips, all at once. Maybe it's a result of not being able to sport our beloved accessories IRL, but either way, this is a look we can get behind.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
