Patience Is Not My Virtue: 9 Spring Trends Already In My Nordstrom Shopping Cart

It’s a truth universally known that fashion editors are not patient. We’re always forward-looking to the fashion seasons ahead, itching to know what the next buzzing trends are, and lusting to get our hands on the new It items before everyone else. I am certainly guilty as charged. So while it may still be January, it hasn't stopped me from getting ahead and shopping for the coolest pieces that spring has in store.

After perusing Nordstrom’s site from top to bottom this week, I’ve already added a handful of fresh items that hit this year’s biggest trends. From open-back dresses to micro-mini skirts, take a peek below to get ahead of next season'ss must-have pieces.

Cute polo-style tops have been gaining momentum for the past few seasons and this spring they're set to reign supreme. Whether you opt for a lightweight short sleeve knit or a chic polo sweater they're the perfect casual top to pair with everything from mini skirts to shorts and jeans.

It's all about loose and relaxed trousers for spring—striking the perfect balance of comfort and polish. They were spotted all over the S/S 21 collections and will look cool with everything from a graphic tee to a bandeau or a blazer.

Skin is in for spring 2021 and one of the easiest ways to show a little is with a chic backless dress—spotted on all the biggest runway shows.

Tissue-thin second skin tops continue their popularity into spring. Easy to layer or wear alone, opt for one in a playful print if you're lusting to liven up your look.

Say hello to sky-high hemlines this spring! Micro minis are set to dominate this upcoming season. Pair the fun and frivolous skirt with flats and a modest knit top for a charming spring look.

We continue to lean into all things comfy this spring, and shoes are no exception. House slippers (that can easily be worn out of the house) are rising to fame—from slip-on silhouettes to trending clog styles.

After many seasons of short chunky collars, we're happy to hear that refreshingly cool long necklaces are back for spring—as spotted at all the major designer collections from Chanel to Dior, Victoria Beckham to Chloé.

Take a break from your skinny jeans this spring and go for a relaxed silhouette instead. Fresh and cool, they're easy to wear with everything from oversize blazers to bikini tops.

There's a new color trend in town and this one is guaranteed to turn heads. Bold, bubblegum pink is set to flood our feeds this spring—adding a lively and vibrant touch to our ensembles.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
