Cynthia Erivo Shares a Close-Up Look at Her Custom Vera Wang Dress, and Damn, That's Intricate

Cynthia Erivo took a very different turn for the 2021 Critics' Choice Awards after impressing us in neon green, avant-garde Valentino Couture at the Golden Globes. Working with stylist Jason Bolden as she so naturally does, The Outsider and Genius: Aretha star selected a custom Vera Wang gown with an ivory tulle split-away overlay and delicate macramé lace that was hand cut and placed across the sleeves, bodice, and floor-sweeping skirt. Both she and Jason allowed us to zoom in on the details by sharing shots on their Instagram Stories, which we gladly admired. Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout.
