I Found the Most Perfect Straight-Leg Jeans, and They're Only $27
I know most of you are here in disbelief from reading that I actually found an all-around great pair of jeans for only $27. Maybe you even clicked just to see if I made a typo. First of all, I don't blame your doubt because denim at this price is almost entirely unheard of. Second of all, I am so delighted to say no mistakes have been made and no lies have been told.
The denim in question is a straight-leg style discovered at Walmart (and immediately shared with me) by Tyla Lauren. (My bank account thanks her.) She's already put these Free Assembly jeans to the test and confirms the fit and quality are impressive, which isn't really all that surprising knowing they're from this new editor-approved brand of everyday essentials. See the effortless spring outfits Lauren created with the affordable jeans, and then shop them for yourself.
It turns out Lauren has been an expert at finding (and styling!) affordable clothing items, denim included, for years. "I prefer affordable fashion over high-priced pieces," she says. "My mom taught me how to look good on a budget, and that has always stuck with me." Lauren describes her perfect pair of jeans as "high-waisted with stretch and a straight leg," so I'm not surprised she landed on this ankle-grazing style that matches her description to a tee.Making a pair of black jeans look spring-appropriate can be a challenge for even the most seasoned fashion person, but Lauren expertly pulls it off by topping her all-black look with a white utility jacket. Not only is this style on trend, the pop of white really stands out and feels fresh for spring. Pro tip: Size up in this jacket (or any jacket style, for that matter) to get that cool, slightly oversize fit.If you've been wondering what washes these jeans are available in, I apologize for holding out on you for this long. Behold the second color, which is a perfect deep blue. Lauren advises that every wardrobe deserves at least one pair of black and medium-wash denim for endless outfit options, and I couldn't agree more.Lauren's second look is a classic jeans-and-tee combo made cooler, yet again, by a fun jacket. In this case, a sage-green lightweight parka. "I buy new jackets every season because they tie every look together," she says. This outfit is ideal for everyday wear this spring, rain or shine. Just add spring-friendly footwear like slide sandals or high-top sneakers (Laurens preference du jour) and be on your way.Distressed skinny jeans are another spring-friendly denim style.Everyone needs this wardrobe staple. The denim version is also a good idea. It's the pockets for me.This short-sleeve dress is so versatile. I like it best paired with leather slides or chunky sneakers. This oversize cardigan comes in three other colors, but I'm partial to the soft blue.Yes, these jeans are also only $27.When it's warm out, style this knit tied around your neck or waist. If you live somewhere warm, put these to good use ASAP.This structured blazer elevates any spring look. Wear it with your new $27 jeans à la Lauren or over a slip dress.
If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
