These Are the Shoe Trends to Get Excited About This Fall

Even in the midst of a global pandemic, Fashion Month is taking shape. Sure, IRL shows (LOL, remember those?) may be few and far between, but that gives us even more opportunity to zero in on the details gracing the digital runways and virtual presentations alike for fall/winter 2021. We know, we know . . . we're not even out of winter and into spring. But time as we know it is a flat circle, and at the very least, these trends - shoes in particular - give us something, anything to look forward to.

Perhaps as a lingering effect of quarantine, comfort was top of mind with styles like lug-soled boots, indoor shoes making outdoor moves, and the ever-divisive clog taking the runway. But that isn't to say that all the shoes radiated WFH vibes - super-stacked platforms were a common theme, while knee-high boots decked out in rhinestones, psychedelic patterns, and embossed logos also played co-starring roles.

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout.
