All the Sneakers I've Envied on Celebs Have One Thing in Common
As fun as it is to watch celebrities in dreamy couture gowns on the red carpet, it's their everyday street style that piques my interest most. I feel like the casual moments are where true personal style really shines through. I find myself saving more of these laid-back looks than the ultra-glam ones and have noticed a trend among my favorite celeb outfits: sneakers.
Sneakers are the ultimate footwear choice when it comes to real-life celebrity outfits, and the pairs I've gravitated toward the most all have one very specific color scheme—black and white. I've always had a penchant for neutrals but didn't realize quite how much until I noticed all of the sneakers I've loved on celebs have some combination of black and white. Not only do these two hues pair perfectly together, but they also go with just about any outfit and feel cool without trying too hard. You'll see what I mean below. Keep scrolling to see the black-and-white sneakers both celebrities and I love.
On Dakota Johnson: Gucci Round-Frame Acetate Sunglasses With Star ($450); Apiece Apart pants; Vans Classic Slip-On Sneakers ($50). Vans are as classic as sneakers get, and this black-and-white checkerboard pattern has been a cult favorite for years. It lends a cool skater-type edge to any outfit, making even jeans and a T-shirt feel directional. Checkerboard also happens to be fashion's favorite print at the moment, so you can expect to see these blow up even more this year. On Rihanna: Vetements sweatsuit; Jordan Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi Union Sneakers ($2315). Leave it to Rihanna to find the most enviable pair of sneakers on the planet. I feel like these retro Jordans would make even the most basic of outfits instantly head turning. On Dua Lipa: Puma Classic Suede Sneakers ($65). These classic Pumas are another retro favorite that has seen a major resurgence as of late, and I'm partial to the way Dua Lipa styles hers—with tall socks and an all-black outfit. I may or may not be ordering these immediately. On Elsa Hosk: Arket blazer, Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie Bag ($1790); ACNE Studios Black Bolzter Sneakers ($540). Elsa Hosk is one of my style icons. Case in point: this cool blazer outfit. I love that she accented this minidress-blazer combination with an unexpected pair of funky sneakers and made me want said sneakers in the process. On Emily Ratajkowski: Keds Champion Canvas Sneakers ($50) . Keds are the perfect sleek, comfortable, and classic sneaker style, and this black version with pops of white detailing is the ideal pair of everyday shoes. They pair well with virtually everything without distracting from your outfit. On Jennifer Lopez: Hermès Birkin Bag; The Kooples Slick Chunky High-Top Trainers ($294). I never saw myself as a chunky-high-tops kind of person until I saw these on J.Lo. The thick sole seems comfortable, and the high-tech-looking high-tops ooze cool. On Hailey Bieber: The Attico blazer; Bottega Veneta The Pouch Clutch ($3200); New Balance M990NV2 Sneakers ($205). All hail the sneaker queen! Hailey Bieber always steps out in ultra-cool sneakers, and this pair of New Balances is no different. The fashion world loves dad sneakers, and this black-and-white pair tops my list. On Selena Gomez: Puma Cali Bold Sneakers ($90). I love the small pop of black on Selena Gomez's sneakers, as I feel like these pair well with everything, but that bold black logo gives them a touch of edge.
If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
