We Absolutely Love Chloé Zhao For Rocking White Sneakers With Her Hermès Oscars Gown

It may only be April, but we're ready to award Chloé Zhao for nailing the fashion moment of 2021. The history-making filmmaker rolled up to the 2021 Oscars looking impossibly cool in a neutral dress and crisp white sneakers, both by Hermès. Although it was her casual shoe choice that initially caught our eye - seriously, rocking kicks to the biggest award show of the season is iconic - a closer look at her gown revealed that it was quite the stunner. If you zoom in, you'll see it featured intricate beaded detailing, a waffle-like texture, and a pleated skirt and sleeves. She let her dress and sneakers do the talkin', opting out of any additional fussy accessories.

During the Oscars, Chloé won best director for her work on Nomadland, making her the first woman of color to nab the award, and she was also nominated for best achievement in film editing and best adapted screenplay.
