I Always Wear This One Trend When I Want to Fake An Expensive-Looking Outfit

What's my favorite kind of outfit, you ask? One that looks really expensive, but isn't. While I have a number of hacks up my sleeve that allow me to nail a luxe look with ease, plissé fabric is the one trend that lets me fake an expensive-looking outfit, no matter what. I find that the textured look of anything plissé instantly makes my outfits look double the price and on top of that, the fabric is inherently comfy. Be it a dress or a pair of pants, the comfort level this trend brings you is so good, I consider it a way of life.

Curious where to find the best plissé in town? Then let me introduce you to Who What Wear CollectionWho What Wear Collection is a new brand dreamed up by our very own editors featuring trend-ish classics, small-batch drops, and feel-good fabrics. I might be biased, but every single item in the collection is worth adding to cart, but as the true plissé lover that I am, I had to take the time to highlight the 8 plissé pieces we just launched. From matching sets to dresses (with cutouts!), I have no doubt you'll be able to find the perfect plissé piece for you. In case you need some inspiration on how to make this trend look as expensive as possible, I've gathered some of my favorite images of influencers and editors alike styling their favorite plissé items.

Although this look is relatively casual, the luxe-look of these pants instantly elevates the entire 'fit.
Here are two of our very own editors styling our plissé pieces in two very different ways. Hopefully seeing these two outfits side by side proves just how versatile this trend can be.
When you have a dress this striking, you really don't need much else. Everything from the icy blue color to the sultry cutouts will have you looking on-trend and expensive in no time.
Want to feel like you're wearing pajamas without looking like you are? Then plissé is the trend you must try, particularly this set. As you can see, wearing the top and pants together gives you a polished look with minimal effort.
Most of the pieces in Who What Wear Collection pair perfectly together, but thanks to our market editor Indya's insane styling skills, we officially found a match made in heaven. Clearly, this top plus these pants are a must-buy.
Does it get much more luxe than a powerful blazer and a  plissé midi skirt? No, no it doesn't. If going braless isn't really your thing, try layering a simple black crop top underneath this blazer or a turtleneck when it gets a bit colder outside.
Here we see our plissé top and skirt in the wild and truly, I've never felt so in love with it. I love the simple styling of the sleek thong sandals paired with the textured set.
Here we have one of our best-selling dresses, the Drew Cutout Twist Midi Dress. It's understandable that this dress is flying off the shelves considering it's on-trend, comfortable, and somehow also timeless? I don't make the rules, I just report on them. But if I were you, I would add this little number to your cart ASAP.
Simple and sleek, just how we like it. Whether you dress these plissé up or down, you're sure to look expensive head-to-toe.
Looking to dress up an outdoorsy outfit? Then these plissé pants are it. I love the way they are styled here with a bikini and a big button-down.
This blue color just hits different. I said what I said.
Next up, shop our new favorite assortment of elevated basics.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
