My Budget Is Limited—These Are the Affordable Items I’m Prioritizing This Fall
I’m not going to lie—amidst home renovations, my toddler starting pre-school, and an uncertain global pandemic—I'd say my shopping budget this fall lies in the scope of slim to minuscule. Luckily, however, as Who What Wear’s market editor, I’ve become quite the expert at weeding out which trends and styles are worth spending your hard-earned cash on—and how to acquire them for less.
With a whole host of new trends to get excited about this fall, today I wanted to share the pieces I’ll be prioritizing with my limited budget. From cool sweater vests to lug sole boots and knit cropped tops, scroll below if you’re looking to find some of this season’s most fashionable finds for under-$100.
Preppy and cool, knit sweater vests (a trend spotted all over the fall runways) are my latest obsession—and relatively easy to score for under $50.Vintage-inspired blouses with large, romantic collars are a fashion-girl favorite this season—and currently blowing up our feeds right now.If there's one pair of boots I'm investing in this season it's cool and comfortable, chunky pull-on boots—as seen on every cool fashion girl.My love for knit tops continue—they look and feel luxe, and strike the perfect balance of cozy and chic. For an Insta-worthy look opt for a set with a matching cardigan, skirt, or shorts.Ribbed knits are a huge runway-approved trend this season that makes every outfit look more expensive. I'll be opting for a versatile, cozy, (and stretchy!) ribbed knit midi dress to carry me through the cold-weather season.Chunky chokers and chain-link necklaces continue to reign supreme this fall—adding a statement touch to even the simplest of basics. When it comes to tailoring this season, I'm opting for loose and oversize silhouettes. A pair of relaxed wide-leg pants will go with just about everything. We saw dark, rich chocolate brown hues on so many runways—I'll be trying the luxurious color trend in the form of sweaters and dresses. It's the perfect autumn hue to update my wardrobe.Talking of all things cozy—shearling coats are trending and I'm 100% here for it. It will undoubtedly add a plush touch to any autumn ensemble. There's no doubt a cozy cardigan is high up on my wish list this fall. I'll be opting for a vintage-inspired knit this season with unique details such as a pretty collar or statement buttons. As I continue to work from home, pretty, house dresses are the perfect, (Insta-worthy!) option when I want a break from my sweats.Furry shoes are trending this fall—and they're, honestly all I want to live in. They're the ideal indoor-outdoor option.
If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
