This Is the Best Time of Year to Shop for Beauty Products—Here's Why

This time of year, friends and family and holiday sales abound. 'Tis the season. But another fun fact about this time of year is that beauty gift sets also abound. Even brands that don't typically sell sets or special sizes of their products tend to get in on it in the months leading up to the holidays. While you can certainly purchase these sets for their intended purpose of gifting, I personally prefer to purchase them for myself for several reasons.

Beauty product gift sets are almost always cheaper than if you were to purchase the items in the set separately. It's also a great opportunity to stock up on travel sizes since many brands don't typically make them. Not only that, but if you're thinking about purchasing the full size of something, you can try it first by purchasing a gift set. We love a low-commitment beauty buy.

With that, keep scrolling to shop 32 beauty product gift sets that are 100% worthy of purchasing for yourself.

Three of my favorite Shani Darden products in one set? Into my cart it goes.
The products (and exact shades) chosen for Merit's holiday set are all ones that I've tried and adore.
Pillow Talk is the world's best perfect lip shade in any form, so this set is obviously a must.
I love Tatcha's Dewy line so much, especially in the winter. And these sizes are quite generous.
Look what I found hiding at Nordstrom. This is your chance to discover what all the hype is about. (Also, this set of U Beauty's epic products is valued at $214.)
These gorgeous shades are so perfect for the holidays, and the eye shadow palette alone is valued at $88.
I've yet to come across any copycat product that even comes close to the original (which is worth every penny).
No wonder this set has a perfect five-star rating. It's a steal at that price, and the shades are dreamy.
This perfect set is kind of all you need for your next trip.
I've seen Westman Atelier's Lip Suedes on, and all I can say is wow. (Also, how gorgeous is that highlighter?)
I've been using Verb's Ghost line for years, and it makes my hair so clean and shiny. And if you bought these products separately, you'd be spending $22 more.
This buzzy brand's set is great for improving texture and discoloration.
You really get a lot of amazing cult-favorite products for less than $100 here.
The Olaplex obsession is real, folks. Don't miss out on this deal of a set.
This is the most-raved-about product from Selena Gomez's beauty line. I'm intrigued. Are you?
I can testify that the NuFace devices really work! If you've been contemplating taking the plunge, this is your opportunity.
So many great clean brands in one very affordable set.
Dr. Barbara Sturm's products are typically very expensive, so I highly suggest trying them via one of the holiday sets.
Warning: This set might get you hooked on Westman Atelier like I am.
Based on the following that Saie has, I imagine this set will sell out.
Gisou will make your hair smell and look amazing. Also, these sizes are quite generous.
I'm tempted to order a couple of these to stock up for future trips.
Eye patches feel so indulgent (in a good way). Also, can we talk about the fact that this set is valued at $182?
They got the name right with this set. Nothing makes my skin glow quite like the Alpha Beta line.
Another set filled with some of my glowy-skin favorites.
Friendly reminder not to neglect your hair health during the busy holiday season.
She may not be cheap, but she's certainly a beauty.
Four of the best Drunk Elephant products there are (and I've tried a lot of them) in one adorable set.
Even if you haven't run out of lash and brow serums, I suggest ordering this to save for later—it's that good of a deal.

Next up, the seven most-wanted face creams and their drugstore dupes.

I Tried the Viral One-Leg Jeans, and I Got Plenty of Stares

If you're into fashion and an avid TikTok scroller, you've probably come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans . People who got their hands on them are asking followers how they should style them - and even whether or not they should keep them. Those who are still on a waitlist or are simply curious about the trend are going so far as to DIY the jeans by taking a scissor to one leg of an old pair. I, on the other hand, dared to step into the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725), an alternative take on the same silhouette that's even more eye-catching (which, how is that possible?). These jeans were, without a doubt, one of the most polarizing looks I've ever worn - and I've tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand's famous push-up nipple bra , and many a sheer naked dress . After wearing the jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (st...

Oh, to Be Pedro Pascal's Sparkly Cardigan

Never have we been more envious of an inanimate object than when Pedro Pascal stepped out in a sparkly cardigan this week. As soon as we saw him walking the streets of London wearing the glittery knit, we longed to swap places with it - to be enrobing the heartthrob, catching the attention of random passersby, sparking internet discourse, and ultimately taking responsibility for his style breakout. Pascal has been serving look after look while promoting " The Last of Us " season one and "The Mandalorian" season three this year, working with stylists Julie Ragolia and Fabio Immediato . His latest came on Feb. 23 when he arrived to a radio interview wearing the shiny cardigan in question: a long button-down sweater made of silver foil yarn and created by menswear label 4SDesigns. He layered it over a sheer brown tank top and finished the look with black pants, leather boots, and his usual chunky-framed glasses. Just one day prior, the actor stopped by a photo call...
