Lil Nas X Embodies His Own Positive Light in This White Bandage Top and Suit

Lil Nas X was presented with the 2021 Innovator of the Year award at the Variety Hitmakers event by his good friend Chloe Bailey. When she took the stage to introduce him, she honored the boundary-breaking musician with a speech about his strength and positive impact on the world. "There couldn't be a more appropriate honor for Lil Nas X. He has embodied the spirit of courage while also representing the culture authentically and beautifully . . . What makes him Nas is his heart, his love for everybody, his positive light," she said, as Lil Nas X smiled up from his seat in the audience in a white Balmain pantsuit.

The look, consisting of satin jacquard co-ords covered in the luxury brand's logo, was teamed with a barely-there bandage top highlighting his abs, all pieces from Olivier Rousteing's spring/summer 2022 collection. Lil Nas X and his stylist Hodo Musa secured the star a diamond encrusted chainlink choker necklace, matching earrings, and rings to play up his silver metallic manicure. Nas capped off the look with square-toe platforms that peeked through the slit in his pants for a very '70s disco style move.

Balmain describes the suit as a unique mix of nonchalance and flair, and we agree that description definitely sets the tone, but it's Nas's personality and confidence that round out this outfit with its real pizzazz.
