Tinashe's Massive Platforms Look Like Something Out of a Cartoon

Tinashe took her style to new heights at the 2022 American Music Awards. The singer attended the award show in Los Angeles on Nov. 20 wearing Marc Jacobs head to toe, including an especially towering pair of multistrap platform heels.

Pulled from the brand's fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection, Tinashe's look consisted of a cropped white corset and a low-rise, floor-length skirt featuring a thin leather belt and high slit at the back. Tinashe accessorized with square sunglasses emblazoned with the brand name as well as a silver chain-link necklace, matching earrings, and the aforementioned ankle-testing platforms. Tinashe also wore opera gloves, which have made many appearances on red carpets in the last year, including the famed Met Gala.

Tinashe is a frequent boundary-pusher on the red carpet. Earlier in the week, she attended the GQ Men of the Year party on Nov. 17 wearing a gray Ottolinger suit without a shirt underneath. Days before that, Tinashe celebrated the opening of the Brooklyn Museum's Thierry Mugler exhibit on Nov. 15 wearing Mugler separates and oversize hoop earrings.
