Saweetie's Strappy Thongkini Is Hanging on By a Thread

Saweetie is known for her quirky, maximalist sense of fashion, and the 29-year-old rapper continues to deliver on the aesthetic whether she's on the red carpet, performing onstage, or sharing behind-the-scenes snaps on Instagram. Saweetie recently announced the release of "Pretty B*tch Music," her studio album that's set to come out in 2023, and she's promoting it with plenty of eye-catching outfits. And that same head-turning aesthetic also applies to her swimwear.

Saweetie tends to reach for strappy triangle cuts and thongkinis in bright, neon colors, and she has posing in your bikini down to a science. But two-pieces aside, Saweetie's also worn gorgeous one-pieces and maillots for shoots (see: Prada on a boat and Chanel at the beach). She is a fan of swim labels Sel Doval and Haus of Pinklemonaid. She works with stylist Amanda Murray for event dressing, and the noted fashion guru may have a hand in fine-tuning Saweetie's collection of swimwear as well.

The "Best Friend" rapper's latest snap comes courtesy of her Instagram Stories, where she modeled an olive green string bikini on Tuesday, Feb. 21. With the ultra-thin straps that comprise the high-leg bottom and connect the triangle, halter-style bust to the ruching of her thong, it's a skin-revealing look that surely made her followers do a double take. In fact, we'd go so far as to dub Saweetie's suit a "flosskini."
